The RDFCSC fraternity celebrated the 59th Independence Day of Zambia; the celebration was attended by students of SCSC 12, faculty members, and college staff.
Zambia’s Independence Day, is celebrated annually on October 24th to commemorate Zambia’s Declaration of Independence from the United Kingdom colonial rule on October 24th, 1964 under the leadership of late Dr Kenneth Kaunda, who became the country’s first Prime minister where he managed to successfully galvanize their effort under the motto of “One Zambia One Nation”.

In his remarks, the Commandant RDFCSC, Brig Gen Andrew NYAMVUMBA, graced the occasion and paid homage to the forbearers of independence whose vision inspired the independence movement. "It is therefore a privilege and honour for me to preside over this important event as we recognize the independence day of Zambia. Let us together, as the fraternity, congratulate our brothers from Zambia here on SCSC 12 and wish them a wonderful independence day”, ‘he said’.
The student who spoke on behalf of the Zambian fraternity at the college Lt Col Eddie YULA reiterated on cordial relationship between the two sister-countries and Defence Forces. He thanked the College leadership for organizing the event to celebrate the Zambia independence.
