Tactical Exercise Without Troops (TEWTs) for Junior Command and Staff Course (JCSC) 12 conducted from 4 to 8 January 2019

Students of JCSC 12 conducted a Defensive operation TEWT nicknamed RINDA INKIKO from 4 to 8 January 2019.

The exercise started with model discussions in the College on 7 January 2019 followed by an outdoor application in the general area of NYABIHU District.

The exercise RINDA INKIKO aimed to practice students of JCSC 12 on the mechanism of planning and conducting defensive operations at Brigade level of command using a sand model and the actual ground.

The objectives were to carry out Combat Estimate and through understanding of the Defence plan, to discuss Concept of Operation and employment of Support Arms at Brigade level, applying Manoeuvrist Approach to Warfare and Mission Command in the conduct of Defence operations and also applying principles of battle procedures and workout time analysis.

The Directing Staff of JCSC gave guidelines to the students where the exercise objectives were achieved and desired lessons learned.
