The students of SCSC 07 conducted the “Exercise KADAHUSHA” from 7 to 10 September 2018. The indoor exercise is a tutorial Fire Support Planning (FSP) on preparation of a deliberate fire plan, aiming to give the students of SCSC 07 a platform to understand the problems involved in the preparation of a fire plan from a Battle Group (BG) to Brigade Group Level.
The Exercise KADAHUSHA designed to enhance students understanding of fire planning techniques during a time programe of fires. Therefore the Ex setting hinged on the production of a FSP in SP of a deliberate attack by Brigade GP from a transition operation. The Bde Comd and his Regt Comd prepared a fire plan to dislodge a fortified enemy defence of BG str in order to eject him out.
The objectives of the exercise include the importance of Fire Coord and allotment of resources to manaoeuvre Fmns/Units. The need for a careful determination of H Hr; The complexities in deciding on a timed program of fire sp; The flexibility of prep a Deliberate Fire Plan; the use of Fire Support Coordination Matrix (FSCM); The need for Fire Plan Panoramic Sketch Map and the Arty employment consideration.
