Junior Command and Staff Course (JCSC) intake 21/23 was officially opened

On Tuesday 30 May 2023, the JCSC intake 21 was officially opened by the RDF Command and Staff College Deputy Commandant, Col JC Ngendahimana who congratulated students for having been selected to attend the course and urged them to use the opportunity to aim high in order to uphold personal pride and the institutional trust in them. The ceremony was attended by the faculty and the students. JCSC 21 is comprised of 38 students, 36 officers from RDF of the ranks of majors and captains, including 3 female officers, and 2 officers from Rwanda National Police.

The official course opening was preceded by two weeks-long training program in International Computer Driving Licence (ICDL) that took place at RDFCSC Nyakinama from 15th to 26th May 2023. As RDFCSC is becoming a smart college, this program is necessary to expose students on a variety of computer skills and software applications to be utilized during their course.

The training package includes six basic and intermediate modules that include Computer and Online essentials, Documents, Spreadsheets, Presentations, Online Collaboration and Cyber security. The students are also exposed to Digital Map Marking and E-Learning programs.
