Rwanda Defence Force Senior Command and Staff College is conducting the Intermediate Command and Staff Course 04/13, attended by 35 Officers from RDF and Rwanda National Police. The military course attended by Captains and Majors from RDF and their equivalents from RNP, was officially opened on 21st January by the Army Chief of Staff, Maj Gen F Kamanzi Mushyo. The training is aimed at facilitating the participants to meet the requirements of a commander and a staff officer at tactical level.
In his opening remarks, the Army Chief of Staff said that RDF values the role of training in RDF success, indicating “training is a cornerstone to success”. He urged the participants to give the course seriousness it deserves. He observed that when you train hard, fighting becomes easy.
In an interview with the Media, the Defence and Military Spokesman said that training in RDF plays a very big role since the liberation struggle “this course will facilite the officers to perform their command duties at sub units, and as staff officers at Brigade and Division levels”. The course also will allow them to undertake Senior Command and Staff Course.
The Intermediate Command and Staff course intake 04/13 will last for 24 weeks.
