Graduation Dinner for Senior Command and Staff Course (SCSC) 11 on 2 June 2023

On 2 June 2023, the Rwanda Defence Force Command and Staff College (RDFCSC) organized a graduation dinner for students of SCSC 11, Faculty Staff and their respective spouses, to celebrate achievements after a yearlong successful training.

The Deputy Commandant welcomed the invited guests to the celebration and expressed gratitude to all of them for choosing to join the College faculty and students on that evening.

The Guest of Honour for the occasion was the RDF Army Chief of Staff (ACOS), Lt Gen M Mubarakh. Other distinguished guests to the graduation dinner included Governor of Northern Province, 2 Div Commander, the Chief Js from RDF HQ, Region Reserve Force Commander Northern Province, Director Rwanda Peace Academy, RDF Spokesperson, representative of Commandant of National Police College, spouses and family relatives of both students and faculty.

On behalf of the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), the Army Chief of Staff, Lt Gen M Mubarakh, took opportunity to extend greetings, well wishes, and congratulations to the students for ending their military prestigious course on a high note. He commended their effort, resilience, fortitude and achievements while on the course and most of all their discipline.

On behalf of the students of SCSC 11, Lt Col R RWAKARENGWA represented all Students in general assured RDFCSC leadership and the University of Rwanda that “the training package and exposure renewed our sense of commitment to this noble security career, we don’t have any excuse of capacity gaps to discharge our responsibilities in our military career at national and multidimensional level”.

Lt Col Susan Oruni Lakot, a student from Uganda who represented allied students, thanked the College fraternity for the knowledge and experience gained along the course. Lt Col R RWAKARENGWA (Rwanda) and allied students presented various tokens of appreciation to the College leadership.

The dinner was graced by the Army Band and the cultural troupe “Inyamibwa” who put up an exciting performance.
