Field Training Exercise conducted by Junior Command and Staff Course (JCSC) 11 in Gabiro general area from 14 to 21 October 2018

JCSC 11 ran for 18 weeks from 25 June 2018 to 26 October 2018. This course improves the student officers’ command and staff competencies by giving them prerequisite attitude, knowledge and skills at the tactical level. It also prepares them for higher military courses such as the Senior Command and Staff Course.

Towards the end of the Course Programme from 14 to 21 October 2018, the students conducted a Field Training Exercise nicknamed SHAMBULIA ADUI, where they were exercised from a Brigade level to a Company level. They applied good initiative and their imagination in conducting the exercise in the general area of Gabiro.

SHAMBULIA ADUI is a week Field Training Exercise conducted by students of Junior Command and Staff Course 11 and it was one sided exercise with a controlled enemy designed to assess student officers in various aspects of leadership and Command, control and communication in the planning and conduct of operations of war.

The Field Training exercise was a culmination of all theories covered over the last four months and it was an environment where all operations of war and other special operations were practically conducted.
