A team of Africa Military Education Program (AMEP) visited RDFCSC Nyakinama from 17 to 21 September 2018

The Africa Military Education Program (AMEP) is a US sponsored partnership program that aims at strengthening professional military education institutions across the African continent through focused investments in faculty development and improved curriculum design and content. It was designed to bolster the performance of selected African Professional Military Education (PME) institutions through strategic investments in human and institutional capacity. It is in the same vein that US Command and General Staff College AMEP team visited RDF Command and Staff College in Nyakinama, Musanze District from 17 to 21 September 2018. The delegation of five members of AMEP was led by Lt Col MEASNER a Staff Group Advisor at CGSC.

Within the College, the US Delegation was briefed on the vision, mission and organization of the College, courses run, Junior and Senior Command and Staff Courses and reviewed the teaching methods and processes.

The delegation went for guided tour of the College facilities including College Gym.

The engagements of four days at RDFCSC in Musanze, were marked by presentations and deep discussions by both teams AMEP and RDFCSC.

Day One on 17 September 2018, the US Delegation met with RDFCSC Commandant, Maj Gen JB KAZURA and he welcomed them to the College.

Day two on 18 September 2018, there were Presentations, Interactive session and Syndicate rooms visit.

Day three on 19 September 2018, engagements with RDFCSC and Case Study: Operational Art Curriculum by AMEP and RDFCSC teams.

Day four on 20 September 2018, Faculty Development, closing and appreciation remarks by both parties. The visit was concluded with signing the Visitor’s Book, sharing tokens of appreciation and group photo.
