As continuation of the learning process in the Rwanda Defence Force Command and Staff College (RDFCSC), the Students of Junior Command and Staff Course (JCSC) 12 accompanied by members of DS body, made a visits to Kigali Air Base and Combat Support Arms including Mechanized Division, Artillery Division and Engineering Brigade on 28 December 2018.

These places were visited are of operational interest and provide significant input to expand students understanding of how Combat Support Arms operate in support of infantry Brigades thus the College regards this study as an important aspect of its curriculum.

This visit aimed at providing students with first-hand information on the Roles, Organization and Functions of these Combat Support Arms and Kigali Air Base. At the end the students obtained immense knowledge from the visit.

The objectives of the visit were to familiarize the students of JCSC 12 with the Artillery, Engineering, Mechanized and Kigali Air Base’s Roles, Organization, Functions and Capabilities suitable to address today and tomorrow’s security challenges and also to acquaint students with the problems and prospects peculiar to Combat Support Arms and Kigali Air Base.
